Troops Project - Support Our Troops

The Troops Project is a site that was started by Marlene Summers, when she had the great idea of supporting our troops when they were far away from home and at war. With that idea in mind, Marlene created a non-profit organization called Grammy’s Cookie Convoy Inc. This organization was put in place with the goal of sending a million “Hugs” also known as chocolate chip cookies, to our troops while they are off at war.

For all the great achievements Marlene has made, she has recently been interviewed by ABC News and also won the Jefferson Award. This award brought her another interview by Channel 2 News in Houston – KHOU.

Since then, Grammy’s Cookie Convoy has sent over 100,000 Hugs to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. By using donations and volunteers the company has great success to this day. They have been providing our troops with gifts ever since they started. A chocolate chip cookie is the best gift a soldier could ask for, while serving our country.
