Research In Motion Tablet
Research in Motion (RIMM) has released news that they will be bringing an iPad competitor to the tablet market by the 3rd or 4th quarter of 2010. This has also been confirmed by Chinese manufacturing companies. Their tablet will be an 8.9 inch tablet that will be made in China, just like all other technology gadgets these days. You will be able to buy applications for the tablet just like the Apple iTunes Store
Features
The Research In Motion tablet will have many of the same features as their Blackberry along with touchscreen features like the apple iPad. You will be able to run any software application on the tablet along with all the same applications that you can find in the Blackberry store.
Blackberry Marketplace Equivalent
The Blackberry App World will be ported over to Research In Motion’s new tablet. You will be able to develop games and applications using the Java library, which is the same way you could develop games and applications for all the Blackberries. Research In Motion will launch a stand along marketplace that will be available solely for their tablets.
eBook Reader
Amazon was the original inventor of tablets, as they focused on bringing all their books and novels to the eBook world. Amazon has since added functionality to buy and sell e-books along with building ebook readers and applications to view movies inside ebooks. The iPad started the software revolution by improving upon the ebook reader and providing all their great applications and easy to use desktop software to the tablet revolution.
