Instead of releasing a software update, Apple has put it upon the users to fix the problem with their routers. You can follow these simple steps in order to make sure your iPad works for all Wi-Fi networks.

Change Router Settings

In order to connect your iPad to Wi-Fi networks you must ensure that your router settings are changed. Most routers are accessible by going to the 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 ip address in your web browser. You will then need to enter your username and password for your router. If you have a dual band router that is compatible with the 2.4 GHz and 5GHz wireless spectrum bands then you will need to change the network name for each band. You will need to create a wireless network name for each band. You will need to add an N or a G to the 802.11 wireless names in your router settings.

Verify Wi-Fi connections
